AutoComplete not only makes it easier for you to automatically fill in forms and logon to secure sites - it also makes it easier for Trojans and hackers to gain access to your personal data and logon credentials. Here's how to clear the sensitive data stored by AutoComplete and how to disable the feature to protect yourself from compromise.

Difficulty: Easy

Here's How:
  1. Open the Internet Explorer browser.
  2. From the Internet Explorer menu, select 'Tools'
  3. Select 'Internet Options'
  4. Click 'Content'
  5. In the 'AutoComplete' section click the button 'Settings'
  6. Uncheck all entries under 'Use AutoComplete for'
  7. Click the 'Delete AutoComplete history...' button
  8. Uncheck 'History', 'Form data' and ' Passwords'
  9. Click 'Delete'
